You could fry an egg in this kinda heat.
It is currently 7.30 pm and 95 degrees. Um… Hello? This is Seattle. We arn’t supposed to have temperatures like this. We’ve had the house all closed up from the hot weather today, but finally around 4pm, it was the same temperature in our living room, as it was outside, as well as in our iguana’s balmy room.
Ugh. This blows. I’ve been living on fudge-sicles, watermelon and tangerine Frozen-fruits. Air conditioners won’t fit in our funny shaped windows, so we’ve had to deal with our 2 puny fans angled towards us on the couch. Unfortunately they just push the hot air around and we’re still sticking to the couch.
At least I’m not sick. Devon came down with a bad cold yesterday and now he doesn’t really even feel up to going out to the movie theather which can always be counted on to have a temperature somewhere in the 30s. It’s pretty sad. Having a cold and unable to be doted on through a hot bowl of chicken soup. Get better soon, sweetheart!

Oh dear. Poor Devon! Hope he’s feeling better now.
BTW, the poor man’s air conditioner- buy some cheap/thin towels. Hand-towel or facecloth size. (Dollar store towels are perfect.) Dip them in water, wring them out so that they’re nicely damp, then roll them up and put them in small ziplock bags in the freezer. When the heat is annoying the fuck out of you, pull them out, pry them open, and drape them on your head.
Proceed to laugh at one another, and experience relief.

Ooh! frozen towels! splendid idea! At the moment, we’re resorting to putting the iguana’s mist-er in front of our fan. Its great and makes my belly cold, although Fifi has been giving us some strange looks, like “What the hell are you doing with my stuff!”.
