Hey Gang,
I just figured I would update this since its been a few weeks. Its been cold and rainey out for the past month and that kind of weather makes me want to crawl into a nest involving the couch and my quilt, and watch girl shows like Sex in the City, and anything on the Animal Planet. ![]()
I’ve beeen trying to be productive and finish up with a new batch of my cards, so I can bring some when I fly back to Boston for Thankgiving, and maybe see if I can interest a store or 2 in trying to sell my notecards in their shops. In anticipation of taking my first stab at marketing my creations and possibly becoming a profitable endeavor, I finally came up with a way to package the individual cards. From now on each card and envelope will come in a clear and resealable plastic bag. As a bonus, this packaging also protects the cards from the messy hazards in my art studio.
Anyways. I’ll get a photo up of the new packaging soon, along with my newest card creations. I’m just waiting for a group of them to dry and flatten, but I hope to get them up before Thanksgiving.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, I’m very much looking forward to it. I get to see my Fam, and my ladies. (My 5 best friends since I was 12.) I also get to eat lots of pie made by my mom, whose pie skills rival my own. I’m also just looking forward to a Thanksgiving dinner where people dont blow you off, like last year… Last year Devon and I bought all sorts of special cooking dishes and a massive amount of food including a 12 LB turkey, and we made a timetable for when we had to cook each dish, so everything would be ready at the same time. We had invited about 10 people to join us, but by dinnertime noone had come and noone was going to come. The food covered our entire dining room table, and it was just the two of us who were there to eat it. We were full 10 minutes after digging in, and we hadnt even made a dent in the feast….. So anyways, it will be nice to share the holiday spirit with some family this year.
I also have my highschool’s 5 year reunion on the saturday after Turkey day. I have a love/hate relationship with my old highschool, but my classmates were the main thing keeping me from hating everything about highschool. I’m curious to see what my fellow alumns have been up to, since they tended to be above average in their intelligence and compeditiveness. Hopefully it will be a good time, and I wont want to chew my arm off by the end of the evening when I remember why I was a moody and out spoken teen who liked to dye her hair every shade of the rainbow.
Other than that I havnt been up to much, although I did go to see the horror flick “Saw 2″ by myself this week. I love cheezy horror films, but unfortunately none of my friends in seattle share my passion. One of my best friends, Kristin, was my partner in watching horror movies, but unfortunately she’s still in Boston… Anyways. I went to a daytime showing of the movie, because it would have been too scary go to an evening showing and then have to navigate a dark parking lot, all alone. What can I say. I’m a wimp.
So yeah, thats my latest news, and i hope everyone readying this is doing as well as my warm iguana who has a little pot belly. I give you all lots of virtual hugs!
