disharmony.
So I went and auditioned for the Choir of the Sound. My voice wasnt the same as it used to be but I did alright for myself. I saw the lady mark down “good” on my sheet… Only 3 people tried out last night and the choir has about 100 members. I stayed afterwards for their 3 hour long choir. Everyone was really nice, and the music was pretty fun.. Some stuff from Rent, classic broadway show tunes and some stuff from Wicked, which i read, but never saw. I enjoyed myself and sang my throat raw.
I got a call today saying that they couldnt accept me because they had enough members already…. Um.. Hello? Why did you call me in for an audition then?
Suckfest. I’m totally bummed.
This is why I never leave the house.

Aww. =\ Maybe they’ll accept you later?
Sometimes groups put out feelers, but aren’t ready to actually accept a new person.

Maybe later as in next fall, when they start rehursing for a new concert, but I’ll have to call them and ask them then. I guess last week half of the sopranos didnt show up, so they freaked out and wanted to have their bases covered? And then this week all of the sopranos decided to show up, so they realised they didnt need new people after all..
oh well.

Be proud of yourself for auditioning! It takes a LOT of guts to get up in front of a roomful of strangers and sing. 99% of the population would consider that, in itself, a MAJOR accomplishment. Use the experience to build on for your next audition.
