1. I turn (shudder) 24 on Wednesday. How should I celebrate?
That’s a very good question… With your husband, obviously. Having fun? Being happy? Anyhow, you’re only turning 21, so don’t worry so much….
2. What are your thoughts on karaoke?
While I’m all for drunk japanese girls covering the beatles, when it’s my turn on the stage, I’ll pass, thanks.
3. What song do you currently have on repeat?
I’ve been listening to the latest Fisherspooner album on repeat all week.
4. What would be a fun song to put on a mix tape for a friend you don’t see that often?
Mawage!
5. A friend who is a strict vegetarian is coming for dinner. You’re feeling proud of your soup until you remember that you used a beef stock. Would you keep quiet and serve the dish?
As a non-beef eater, I’d be very sensitive to their eating customs, and I’d let them know and try to come up with something suitable for them.
6. a. How many pairs of jeans do you own?
6 or 7?
b.How many pairs do you wear regularly?
4
7. Let’s say the government is overthrown by a party that is violent and undemocratic. Would you join the underground?
My instinct is to say yes, however I’d be hard pressed to argue that our current government doesn’t meet those two criteria, and I don’t do much other than complain. Now if it was a more extreme situation, like the world in V for Vendetta, I’d like to think I’d be willing to risk more for justice.
8. What is your favorite Bush quote?
9. You are a politician. The people who elected you demand that you take a position on abortion that is against your personal convictions. Do you?
It’s really a question of representative democracy and what the role of the representative really is. The ability of a democracy to protect the interest of any constituent minority is in serious question by me, and based on that, I would always lean toward not restricting people’s behavior and rights. Therefore almost regardless of my personal feelings, or those of the people who elected me, I would end up siding against making abortion illegal.
10. And because I’m often hungry and indecisive: What are you having for dinner tonight?
Thai food and brownies:)

A. A birthday party with funny looking hats and a chocolate birthday cake, attended by (at a minimum) Devon, Fifi and Monsieur Lemur.
2. What are your thoughts on karaoke?
A. If you take your digital video phone with you, it can be a great opportunity to blackmail your boss or your friends.
3. What song do you currently have on repeat?
A. Ryan Adams – Come Pick Me Up, first discovered on the Elizabethtown soundtrack.
4. What would be a fun song to put on a mix tape for a friend you don’t see that often?

5. A friend who is a strict vegetarian is coming for dinner. You’re feeling proud of your soup until you remember that you used a beef stock. Would you keep quiet and serve the dish?
A. Nah, a pang of conscience would probably take over and I’d spill my guts and offer her celery and nuts instead….

A. 5 blue jeans, 2 black jeans
b.How many pairs do you wear regularly?
A. 4 blue jeans, 1 black jeans

A. These hypothetical “what if” scenarios are easy to answer but tough to predict what one would REALLY do when confronted by reality…however, my best guess is that yes, I’d likely be a subversive, but pick my co-subversives VERY carefully.
8. What is your favorite Bush quote?
A. Difficult to say, most of them are hilarious. I’ve become addicted to the segment on Letterman called Great Presidential Speeches, where they totally skewer Dubya. But here’s my current vote:
“Wow! Brazil is big.” —George W. Bush, after being shown a map of Brazil by Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Brasilia, Brazil, Nov. 6, 2005
9. You are a politician. The people who elected you demand that you take a position on abortion that is against your personal convictions. Do you?
A. First, of all, you answered your own question with the preamble to the question “You are a politician.” Thus, the answer is yes.
10. And because I’m often hungry and indecisive: What are you having for dinner tonight?
A. Barbeque….someone else is cooking so I’m unsure of the details. Last night it was arugula salad, pizza and Seth’s warm chocolate chip cookies.
