1. Fifi’s 2rd birthday (adoption day) is today, May 1st. What kind of cake should we make for her?
A. A traditional French millefeuille (literally 1000 leaves). That would be collard leaves layered with peanut butter or some iguana-acceptable spreadable substance.
2. Would you rather be a movie star, a rock star, a business tycoon or royalty?
A. Tough call…assuming that “e. none of the above” is an option, probably a rock star.
3. How do you define success for yourself?
A. Work hard; enjoy life; make life better for others; constant learning and teaching; good friends; a family that I love being with and vice versa.
4. How do you see your retirement?
A. I don’t. I hope to be productive in some way (see 3 above) forever. Maybe I would just skew my hours to spend less time in “paid” work and more time visiting and helping family and friends.
5. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
A. A new one just out: Breyers Brownie Mud Pie
6. What’s the last movie that you’ve seen?
A. Elizabethtown – on an airplane.
7. What’s the next movie you want to see?
A. I just Tivo’ed “The Transporter”…I’ve seen parts of it on planes and in hotels but never seen the whole thing straight through. Other than that, I’d guess it’s “Snakes on a Plane”!!!
8. Tell me one fun thing to do on an apathetic feeling Sunday.
A. Something easy, but productive…getting rid of a pile of construction debris by building a fire in the fire pit and burning scraps of leftover lumber was this week’s “apathetic feeling Sunday” task. Plus it gave the added bonus of providing a smores “broiler”….
9. Ever been addicted to a video game? if so, which one?
A. Adventure was the first…a text based “thinking man’s” spelunking game…played it every day at lunch hour for about 4 months straight. However, Tetris is the worst…not that I ccouldn’t stop playing it, but I would think about manipulating falling blocks 24×7, even dreaming about them while sleeping
10. Which, of these 4 funny-looking French cars, is the most masculine?
A. While the Partner picture “looks” rugged, the name is bad, plus it’s a pathetically wimpy looking thing in person, so I’d go with the SMART car:
a. it’s got good design genes, being a joint venture of Swatch and Mercedes
b. it’s extremely practical (appealing to the engineer in me)…you can park it sideways in a parking space
c. it looks like a Converse hi-top sneaker…

Texas Chocolate Cake. And if she can’t eat chocolate I’ll help her, ’cause I’m willing to sacrifice like that for her. Or maybe a cinnemon roll with a candle in it:)
2. Would you rather be a movie star, a rock star, a business tycoon or royalty?
Business tycoon I think. At some point you can get to a place where things can be run by competent underlings and you can relax and do fun things. Although the rock star lifestyle has it’s appeal. I mean who doesn’t want to sleep in a bus???
3. How do you define success for yourself?
Being happy, having my wonderful wife happy, do interesting things.
4. How do you see your retirement?
I’ll still do stuff, especially computer development, but I just want to be doing things on my own schedule. If it’s a nice day, I’ll go for a picnic instead. Basically low stress, high happiness, but still being useful and productive.
5. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough of course. Teal and I invented it.
6. What’s the last movie that you’ve seen?
Stick It. I went for the flexible girls, and stayed for the funny dialog.
7. What’s the next movie you want to see?
Tough one. Maybe Brick, or Inside Man?
8. Tell me one fun thing to do on an apathetic feeling Sunday.Snuggle on the couch and play video games with your spouse.

I’m going to go with the Partner. I figure you can make it into a 70’s party van, with the shag carpet and the disco ball, only for midgets….

I was addicted to Tetris for a while too. I’d spend bus rides, classes and any spare time trying to figure out ways to turn the blocks for almost every combination. It was all I could think about!

1. Fifi’s 2rd birthday (adoption day) is today, May 1st. What kind of cake should we make for her?
I ended up making her French Apple Spice Cake.
2. Would you rather be a movie star, a rock star, a business tycoon or royalty?
Rock Star. They have way more street cred.
3. How do you define success for yourself?
Being happy, making Devon smile every day, and living an exciting live that will make a good novel some day.
4. How do you see your retirement?
Sleeping in late every day with Devon, and having Fifi still be around due to a recent advance in iguana genetics.
5. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
At Cold Stone Creamery – Cake Batter. Anywhere else: chocolate with peanut butter, or Peach… It varies daily though.
6. What’s the last movie that you’ve seen?
(sigh)… Stick it… (sigh) I’m totally ashamed to admit it. I swear, I didnt choose the movie. I place the blame on Devon and Christian.
7. What’s the next movie you want to see?
I keep meaning to watch Rent. I bought the DVD, but Devon refuses to watch it with me, so I’m going to watch it some time when he’s busy playing Halo… but I keep falling asleep those evenings before I get a chance to pop it in.
8. Tell me one fun thing to do on an apathetic feeling Sunday.
Going to the Seattle Aquarium (which i keep forgetting about), playing new video games that I dont suck at, anything that isnt house cleaning or yard work.
9. Ever been addicted to a video game? if so, which one?
Tetris in highschool. The sims a few years ago, until Devon made me quit when I started throwing controllers when I couldnt get past a certain level. And just recently DreamFall, which I cant stop wanting to spend all of my spare time playing.
10. Which, of these 4 funny-looking French cars, is the most masculine?
I’m gonna go with the Renault Twingo. Its angles are less curvy than the other 3, plus it has super macho lemon-drop colored flames on the side.

I think the cake you made her looked fantastic – I am obviously late in this. You could run a business drawing 3-legged iguana’s on things, you are becoming a pro at it. (And Christian is kinda right, you are nuts!)
2. Would you rather be a movie star, a rock star, a business tycoon or royalty?
I guess business tycoon even though my talents, or lack-there-of make it the least like choice for me, i.e. I can actually perform so I could be a rock star or a movie star (heehee C-movies anyone?) and I like to be lazy and be waited on so royalty is appealing. However, those three lifestyles are very invasive and you hear about the wild lives of rock stars that make them become junkies and OD and such – so, business tycoon is safest. I could be rich, not do drugs (maybe) and have some privacy. Yes.
3. How do you define success for yourself?
Being happy.
4. How do you see your retirement?
Relaxing and hopefully boring…hahaha.

Anykind of mint – mnt chip, peppermint, etc. I also like Devon Cookie Dough.
6. What’s the last movie that you’ve seen?
In the theater? I think it was V for Vendetta or Thank you for Smoking – I think.
7. What’s the next movie you want to see?
The Lindsay Lohan movie – hahaha. Or that gymnastic one that you guys saw that was brought to us by the people who gave us “Bring it On.” Awesome, oh wow. Like totally freak me out I mean right on. (clap clap) The Toro’s sure are Number One! Woohoo!!
8. Tell me one fun thing to do on an apathetic feeling Sunday.
Go visit our friends at the reptile museum.
9. Ever been addicted to a video game? if so, which one?
Not really- there was a period when I was palying Halo every night with my brother and his friend. I also really like Tetris and can also play a game for hours in my head…it is kinda scary.

I would have to say A. because of the manly yellow flame strip adorning the side.

The french cars look relatively gender-neutral to me, but most look like they were designed by playskool… Hmm…
