Stay far far away. I have a hard enough time dealing with mall crowds the rest of the year…

Yes. I may pick up a few more things for folks at the office, but I’ve got all the family and whatnot covered at this point. Thank goodness.

Left to my own devices, I would not. However, my wife is fixated on the stuff. I put it off as long as possible.

I figure they should be happy to have the work. I’ll certainly never hire another elf again. Not after last time.

Christmas. I’m not a christian really, but it’s the easiest way to go. Plus I love the big tree.
7. Do you decorate your home for the holidays?
To some degree. A tree, with lights and ornaments, etc… LIghts outside the house, etc…

I like the blue ones, but this year we have multi colored lights outside, and white ones on the tree. It looks very nice.
9. What’s on your extremely wishful wish list this year.
On the “extremely wishful” list I have things like a new A/V Receiver, a new digital camera, a Tag watch.
10. If you have a Christmas tree, is it real or fake?
It’s fake. Historically I grew up cutting down our tree off our land in Vermont and dad would haul it up the hill to the house, etc…
However, now I have a fake one, which the iguana loves to hang out in the rest of the year. So it works out well.

Well, elves like to “work their little butts off,” as my daughter used to say, so I’d say they are happy to get the work and do not feel exploited.

Although Winter Solstice is probably the most ancient and authentic, I’ll have to go with the sentimental favorite, Christmas.

I used to go all-out but lately just do the tree and lights.

White on both. Wait, except for some of those big colored 50′s style ones on the barn in NH. And I’d seriously love to put a herd of the white-light deer out in the woods by the road. Except someone would probably shoot them…..

A new job making more money and 2 weeks on the Amalfi Coast in the fall……

Fake. But real fake – ie aluminum – not one that tries to look real.

I don’t. My mother recently developed a Santa obsession and she buys little Santa figurines all year long. There are about 35 Santas stationed around our living room.

I like both. We always did colored, but I think I will try white when I am all growed up and have my own house.

Hmmm…I don’t know. I guess I really could use/want a laptop. It is not on any list though because who would ever get that for me? I could write a letter to Santa…

The closest we have to a tree this year is on of those foot high, ceramic diddys, with the little Lite-Brite-esque bulbs in it.

A: ugggh. To be avoided at all costs.

A: Yes, except for a few of the usual last minute, inspirational stocking stuffers.

A: Yes. Thanksgiving weekend.

A: Are you kidding, it’s easier for an elf to get work in Hollywood, than it is for an aging 6’6″ goofy white male. They’re (elves) on the gravy train, the way I see it.

A: Christmas, though I saw an article in the Boston Globe today about Festivus, a celebrant-neutral holiday festival around the general timeframe of Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa/etc. Apparently the general idea is that you have a Festivus pole (tall plain aluminum pole) instead of a Christmas tree and you tack up annoying family/friend “habits” on pieces of paper around the room…interesting…
7. Do you decorate your home for the holidays?
A: Absolutely! It’s not officially Christmas until at least one “3 plug” adapter is plugged into an extension cord, which is plugged into a timer…and then at least 12 sets of lights are plugged into THAT.

A: White. It’s the wisest choice for the color-vision impaired.

A: Peace on Earth. A speedy fix to my leaking espresso machine. A happy and healthy family. Time to relax and enjoy it.

A: Fake. But at least they are “fake fake”. I.e. they’re not fake trees trying to fool people into thinking they’re real…..one tree is silver and the other is white. I’m not aware of ANY naturally occuring trees that look like these…

Evil. But I think mall parking lots are worse than the malls themselves.

Due to Devon being Mr. Scrooge, usually not until Christmas morning.. and even then it’s fake Christmas music like Gregorian Chanting or something. One of these days I’m going to have to go out and buy one of those super cheesy Christmas music compilations.

I made Devon risk life and limb to hang the outside lights, we have a Christmas tree and burn pine scented candles and I hang all 4 of the holiday cards that we’ve received so far around our door.
