    1. Do you think Fifi might be part Blue Cayman iggy? If so, what percent?

Ummm…maybe a little. I thought she looked alot like the picture of the Common Green, esp. in regard to the two features you mentioned (except her little flap thingie may have been a little less floppy and spikey). What made the vet think so?

    2. Do you have any stuffed animals?

I have many throughout my room. On shelves, on the floor, in closets, etc. The most important one is my Pound Puppy, Blackie, who sleeps in my bed and who I’ve had since I was 3.

    3. Could you ever spend $500 on a designer bag?

I would have a very hard time justifying it. My bags don’t have a particularly “hard” life but I definitely put them on the floor when I am at a restaurant, etc. If I spent $500 on a bag, I would want to frame it and mount it on my wall. Same with shoes…you walk around the dirty ground with your sweaty feet in them all day! How could you do that to something you paid so much money for? Those, I would preserve through the are of taxidermy and put on my mantle. :) (But if I was a millionaire and money was no object, why the hell not? Louis, here I come!)

    4. Are you organized or messy?

    Hehehe…very, very, messy.

    5. What are you snobby about?

Umm…I dunno. Nothing in particular but I do not like to be wrong so I can be a little snobby about a lot of things. :) In particular about the shows I watch – I like to display my perverse knowledge and elephantine-like memory about them.

    6. Is disco really dead?

I think it can make a strong come back – big haig, big pant legs, what’s not to love? It needs some support though. I would take up the cause but I am currently involved in the movement to bring back the side-ponytail.

    7. How about punk rawk?

lml – look, it is my attempt to make the punk rawk hand gesture thingie out of letters. Woo!! I don’t think anything ever really dies – everything that goes out of style eventually comes back in.

    8. Are you a trekkie?

Kind of – I was mostly a Star Trek : The Next Generation kid. My dad loved the original Star Trek so when The Next Generation was on every night when I was a kid, we all watched it. I actually liked it though. I love Jean Luc Picard! I never really saw the original series and I didn’t follow Deep Space Nine or Voyager too closely (and I have never watched the prequel business going on in Enterprise).

    9. Have you ever dressed “in character” to an event?

    I don’t think so…unless, Halloween counts.

    10. First words that pop into your head when you hear:
    a. spock

Star Trek … or baby names.

    b. element

  2. Te1gator1 says:

    1. Do you think Fifi might be part Blue Cayman iggy? If so, what percent?
A: Yeah, I think so. My guess is 25%….one of the “grandparents”…

    2. Do you have any stuffed animals?
    A. No, loyal dog Daisy gets all them now…

    3. Could you ever spend $500 on a designer bag?
    A. Are you talking about a manbag here? I would not spend 500 pennies on a manbag. ;-)

    4. Are you organized or messy?
    A. Both? I like to do certain things in a very organized methodical manner (building retaining walls, eating food on my dinner plate, making PB&Js, etc. But my desk is a mess and my wife would probably say I’m very messy.

    5. What are you snobby about?
    A. I wouldn’t say I’m snobby about anything, but I have gotten to the point that I like certain creature comforts such that if I couldn’t have them the way I like, I’d probably skip them or give them up. (morning espresso/lattes, decent wine, chocolate desserts, comfortable shoes, good swimming goggles are a few examples)

    6. Is disco really dead?
    A. Not at most weddings and class reunions…. ;-)

    7. How about punk rawk?
    A. From what I can see, punk rawk is dead…everyone that’s left is more wannabe poseur than punk.

    8. Are you a trekkie?
    A. Given that:
    a. I once belonged to a fraternity that changed their dinner time to 5PM so that we could watch both the 4-5 and the 6-7 daily shows and
    b. I still love it and will watch it every now and again….yes!
In that I dress up in weird outfits with fake ears and learned to speak Klingon…alas, no.

    9. Have you ever dressed “in character” to an event?
    A. I assume that you’re not counting roles in plays, films or commercials, nor Halloween parties or trick/treating…..so NO.

My guess is 25% Green Ig, 25% Blue Ig, and 50% Godzilla!!!!!

    2. Do you have any stuffed animals?
At the moment my lemur is stuffed with caviar and escargot, doest that count?

    3. Could you ever spend $500 on a designer bag?
For my wife, if it was super cute, sure. Or for me, if it was an aerodynamic carbon fiber laptop hauling motorcycle backpack maybe…

    4. Are you organized or messy?
Organized. I’ve found that I can influence my mental/inner state by changing my environment. If I have a clean, organized, pleasing environment, I feel more calm, focused, productive, etc…

    5. What are you snobby about?
    Macs!

    6. Is disco really dead?
I hope so… let me get my tire iron and make sure…

    7. How about punk rawk?
My wife is the last true punk rawker. It’s kinda like being the last Mohican, only a little different.

    8. Are you a trekkie?
not really. I like star trek, but I don’t speak Klingon.

    9. Have you ever dressed “in character” to an event?
I dressed like the crow and went to rocky once….

Nope, just a very fat little real dog

KC and the Sunshine band was on the Today show like yesterday, so I doubt it

    7. How about punk rawk?
No, and your kids won’t let it, either – they’ll keep taunting you about how stupid you looked when you were into it

    8. Are you a trekkie?
No, although I did admire Uhuru’s nails, earpiece and ‘do

    9. Have you ever dressed “in character” to an event?
I ALWAYS dress “in character” to any event

    d. kool-aid
Red stains in my bathroom from Emma using it to dye her hair ;-(

Although my quick response to kool-aid was to mention it’s use as a hair dye agent, I would like to go on record as saying that I had NOTHING to do with Emma using it to dye her hair with it in any bathrooms! Nope!

Kool-aid hair dye was a camp thing which I never brought back to Boston with me. Emma came up with that one all by herself!

I will not be thrown under the bus for another one of Emma’s wacky plans! :-) hahahaha!!! i.e. somehow being at fault when Emma brought home a hamster just because I was with her.

  6. Emma says:

I hope so… let me get my tire iron and make sure…

You made me spit out my diet coke!
Also I used spock instead of ansible, because noone would know what the heck it is.

  7. Emma says:

    mum Says:

    d. kool-aid
Red stains in my bathroom from Emma using it to dye her hair ;-(

Actually I only dyed my hair with kool-aid in the kitchen because you had to heat it up first… All of those stains were from regular hair dye. :)

  8. Kristin says:

Yes, you have to heat it to like boiling for it to set well. At camp, we mostly tried it with very hot tap water. But got very clever when someone wrote home for a hot pot so that they could have ramen noodles. Ha! We tossed the ramen, boiled some kool-aid water and went to town! Woohoo! :)

  9. mum says:

I didn’t remember the hamster thing….. I hope you both have 5 girl children. Also, I still don’t know what ansible is. It’s not a word, is it a name?

  10. Devon says:

an ansible is a technology used in various sci-fi books and some movies/tv shows.

Basically it allows instantaneous communication regardless of distance. The name was first used in the 1966 book Rocannon’s World, but Ursula Le Guin, but ended up being used in various forms since then. Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game series of books are probably the most well read books to make frequent use of ansibles.

In the sci-fi world, usually they work based on quantum entanglement between quarks or other sub-atomic particles. In real life it probably wouldn’t work, but hey:)

  11. Kristin says:

Aren’t you glad you asked? :)

  12. Emma says:

I think you can see why i didn’t end up using it in the quiz.

  13. moonbatty says:

    1. Do you think Fifi might be part Blue Cayman iggy? If so, what percent?

75%. Because she’s just too damned cool.

    2. Do you have any stuffed animals?

Random stuffed giraffes and monkeys. Somehow I think that the stuffed animal quotient will explode once Izzie makes her appearance.

    3. Could you ever spend $500 on a designer bag?

Nope. My maximum budget for any bag is $200. I prefer sub-50 buck bags. But spent $80 on a really nice leather bag that was big enough to carry books and things.

    4. Are you organized or messy?

    An odd mixture of both.

    5. What are you snobby about?

The ability to use logic. And to, when confronted with superior logic, back down.

    6. Is disco really dead?

Not as long as there are gay men and sequins. Honestly, it lives on in alternative forms. House, trance..

    7. How about punk rawk?

Not according to the punks that I see down near St Marks place.

    8. Are you a trekkie?

When I was a pre-teen I had a major crush on “Data” of Star Trek the Next Generation. But that wasn’t a trekkie thing. That was a “OMG he seems like a geek” thing. Not that I was a geek then. But the seeds of my geekiness have long been germinating.

    9. Have you ever dressed “in character” to an event?

Uh. No. I don’t even like costume parties. My ongoing halloween costume is “Myself”.

    10. First words that pop into your head when you hear:
