Oh, geez…this makes me nervous because I’m only good at totally useless trivia….these questions might contain useful factoids…..
1. True or False: Canada Geese mate for life.

2. What percentage of black bear’s diet is vegetation?
A: 100% I thought they were totally vegetarian…now, I also assume that “vegetation” includes berries and whatnot, not just actual leaves…
3. True or False: The English House Sparrow has more bones in its neck than a giraffe.

A: no clue. Starlings?
7. True or False: All of the bats in Puget Sound (around Seattle) are insectivorous.
A: False….I’m betting there are some fruit bats up there…

A: Pacific Northwest?
9. What is the largest songbird (passerine)?
A: Macaw.
10. True or False: Seals are born underwater.

Gee whiz, I hope your next volunteer job is as a 2nd grade tutor…hopefully the questions would be easier!….

1. True or False: Canada Geese mate for life.
True! Cute story: We had 2 geese at our center a while ago, and one was released before the other. Every day he came back to the center to wait for his lady goose, until she was released and then they left together

80-90%
3. True or False: The English House Sparrow has more bones in its neck than a giraffe.

4. What is the only marsupial in North America?
Opossum.
5. True or False: Crows are particularly fond of young corn plants.
True. Although they are particularly fond of any corn plants.
6. What is the fastest flying bird? (It can reach speeds of 200mph.)
Peregrine Falcons, during their dives.
7. True or False: All of the bats in Puget Sound (around Seattle) are insectivorous.

Good guesses everybody! The answer is Ravens. I guessed Crows, as they are also song birds. Ravens are larger, although I don’t think that either of their “songs” are very melodious.
