Fifi’s much better.

Fifi and her lovely dorsal spikes

This is beautiful Fifi after I brought her home from her vet appointment this afternoon. I think she was hunched down, looking for birds. I let her romp around in out yard and soak up some sun, because she was a very good girl about getting her blood drawn. I would have given her an iggy pop if they made one. :) Check out those lovely dorsal spikes!

So I mentioned in an earlier comment that Fifi’s rock total is 14 now, and I brought them to show to our vet. Her response was basically “Wow, that IS alot of rocks. Are you sure there arnt any rocks in her enclosure?” Yeah. Fifi lives in a tiny laundry room without much “iguana-habitat-decor” besides a fake christmas tree and a sea monster poster from National Geographic. I’m pretty damn sure that the rocks didn’t come from her enclosure. :/

But anyways. Fifi is a stormtrooper, and while we’re still waiting to see if her blood still shows signs of infection, our vet seems pretty confident that Fifi is done with medicines for the time being.

Go iguana!

She’s such a lovely lizard! I’m very glad she’s doing well.

Yay! :) THanks for the iggie update. I’ve been concerned about the critter.

She looks fabulous! I love how spikey her spikes are. Healthy spikes seem like a sign of a healthy happy iggie. I remember when you got her, they sort of flopped over a bit. Then after you had had her for a while, they looked like a teenage boy with way too much hair gel had styled her. :)

    She’s lovely.

Her spikes are interesting (in addition to being uber stylish, hehe)… Kinda like re-charging batteries or something. Normally her spikes are just kind of slicked back over to one side, but when she sits outside in direct sunlight her spine swells up and her spikes stand straight up. Soon after she usually gets fidgity and walks over to some tree shade or right back to our front door to go back inside.

Maybe she grows them internally, like kidney stones.
