Pig racing and funnel cakes.

We went to the Evergreen State Fair today. It was lots and lots of fun. I pet a goat, we saw lumber jacks scaling poles, Devon got totally freaked out on the ferris wheel and there was lots of yummy food that ended up getting eaten by us.

New hair, again.

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

New crazy red hair.

I got new hair. I didn’t end up crying and needing to have the mirrors covered. It’s awesome, even though its way shorter. Bright red with dark brown.. just like I asked.

And a crazy coincidence: my new colorist’s name is also Emma.

Wrecked house wrists.

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

So my wrists have felt busted for the past week or 2 and I’m pretty sure that its some combination of sleeping on them and having carpal tunnel. So i’ve been trying to avoid my computer and surfing the web and making blog posts. However, Devon hasn’t been interested in being my blog stenographer, so I’m here now. Hopefully my wrists and hands stop sucking and I can go back to surfing the interweb all day. But yeah. Blog posts may not be super regular for alittle while longer. :)

Colorado!

Thursday, August 17th, 2006

So tomorrow, Devon and I are off to Colorado to go to Brett (Devon’s cousin) and Fang’s wedding. It should be fun. I’m looking forward to experiencing my first ever bout of altitude sickness and being woken up at 5am each morning by our little nephew and niece jumping on our beds.

Good times, good times. :)

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Book Review: A Year in Provence

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

I just finished this book by Peter Mayle.

Amazing, completely amazing. It left me seriously considering trying to talk my darling husband into dropping everything and moving to the South of France. Buy a farm house, and spend the days drinking fine french wine.

When I can’t be on a vacation in Provence, this book is honestly the next best thing.

Fifi in her big screen debut.

Sunday, August 13th, 2006

Video of Fifi, my big lucious lizard.

*Warning, the video may take a while to load.*

We had a beautiful warm sunny day, and dragged out Fifi’s christmas tree into our yard. Please excuse my silly girl giggles. This was the first time I’ve played with my camera’s video feature and watched Fifi on film. :)
