So i finally finished a new batch of cards. I’ve been playing with the use of ribbon and sequins on them, and I’m pretty happy with the result. Here are some of my favs.

Man. How the mighty have fallen…
Yippee!! I got my car back from the mechanic today, minus 2 days and $750. Yeay!!! Well for it getting fixed anyways… Something about a tube in the radiator having a crack that when hot, sprayed radiator fluid all over the fan, which sprayed it all over the engine…. Sexy, aye? They also fixed all of the little oil leaks and made my car happy. It purrs like a kitten and drives so smoothly and quietly now. If it had emotions I think that it would be a very happy car.
On the way home, I stopped for a car wash at a place that has a happy bear on top of the building. I haven’t riden through a car wash in over 7 years, since i generally hand wash my car, so the experience was pretty exciting. Plus my car is sparkley clean.
How about y’all? Do you hand wash your cars or go to the place where you ride through?
We went to a store called Paint Away, where you can paint your own designs on ceramic stuff. Here I am looking grumpy because it was harder than it looked. (I made a mug for Devon featuring our iguana).

Well, we just dropped Kristin off at the airport and I miss her lots already. We had tons of fun this weekend and did wild and crazy activities, while Devon tried to steer clear of our girlie-ness. I’ll post later with photos from our wild weekend…
On the not so positive side of things that happened this weekend: My car’s engine is leaking coolant and it has been sidelined by Devon until we can get it to a mechanic to break down the engine and find the problem. Ugh. So, basically I have no car to drive for a while. For those who dont know, I drive a 1968 Ford Galaxie LTD, which is usually a ton of fun to drive.. (no pun intended) Here’s a pic of my pimp ride.
I love it and it has insanely low miles on it, but I think its finally time for us to replace it with a more reliable car. We’re looking at used but solid european cars like BMW 3 series and Audi A4s. Unfortunately I havnt found any that are free or that come in pink. 
Oh well. At the moment I’d be glad to just have a working moped for me to get to the gym and grocery store. Hopefully by the end of this week I’ll have a plan for my transportation, even if it is a bicycle with side saddles.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable day, even if it isnt spent with a sweetheart. I’m just glad to have an excuse to try some of those new Hershey kisses with peanut butter…. drool!
I woke up this morning to find maybe an inch of snow on the ground. It had already melted off of the road, but us Seattlites are wimps, so the schools were delayed an hour and a half. Being an ex-Bostonian, I find this incredibly amusing, since when i went to school, we never had a delay with less than 4 inches of snow on the roads. …. (back when i was a kid, we had to walk to school through the snow, uphill both ways…. j/k)
So yeah, nothing super exciting here, other than the fact that i’m married to an old man now. Devon had a good birthday and he seemed to appriciate the Texas Chocolate cake that I had baked. Happiness.
