Hey everyone!
Happy december and seasons greetings to you all!
I’ve baked 4 types of christmas cookies this weekend. (Oatmeal walnut raisin, peanut butter hershey kiss, thumbprints with jam and walnuts and chewy gingerbread cookies). So Devon and I have about 10 dozen cookies to eat in the next week or two.. Yippee! We’ve just been getting geared up for christmas and snuggling with one another. Happiness.
So for those who dont know, I went to Japan in May of this year with 3 of my girlfriends, to visit another friend of ours from high school who is teaching english there for 2 years. I ended up buying a gorgeous blue Yukata there, with shoes and waist band for about $25o US dollars. A yukata is similar to a kimono, except they are for every day wear, instead of special occasions, but i think they look very similar . So when i returned to home I was excited to find occasions to wear it. Since i’ve mostly retired from my nights as a night club kid, I dont have as many occasions as I’d like. Luckily Devon (my husband), is a photographer in his spare time, and I’ve modeled a little bit in the past, and we decided to do a little Japanese fashion photo shoot. Hair and makeup is done by myself, and the clothes and props are my own.. You can even see one of my acrylic paintings in the background. ( I would give credit to the clothingstore, but unfortunately the sales slip is totally in Japanese.) Devon takes photographer credits, and my thanks for taking the record for longest time to share photos with me after the shoot. Here are a few neat shots from this summer.

So I’ve spent most of this weekend being cozy indoors. Devon and I brought out our trusty fake christmas tree to the living room and decorated it with balls and lights, and we put some early presents under it. Now, since I have a big spoiled pet iguana, the christmas tree spends january – november in her room, although she usually ignores it and rarely climbs in it. Well, ever since we moved it out and turned its lights on, she is very interested in it again. Infact, she spend most of today climbing around in it and knocking ornaments off.
